Hi to all SH lovers, i should post the procedure of how i diy my kriesel system.

I used a cheap round airtight container.

First I marked the area i want to cut then i cut it using a swiss knife.

I only cut 3 sides so that it can act as a cover.

Next i use a power drill with hole bit to drill the hole.

The hole is drilled at the bottom of the container.

i use those washing machine filter bag to cover the hole.

using the drilled out bottom as a guide, cut the net slightly bigger.

paste the net from inside the container

paste a plastic at the bottom to stable the container

make a small hole at the center side of the coontainer to put the the elbow air tube joint

Finished product in a 2 ft nursery tank

i think your round container mus be below water surface otherwise the fries can still 'eat' air, try lowering the height of the egg crates

so the green tubing is for water or air(unlikely?)? And how do u input foods like bbs or rotiFers?

Last question, did u make spare ? cos u need to sterilise these containers from time to time as hydroids will grow in it and harm the fries.

Best if u had a uv steriliser connected to the tank too

it doesn't have to be below the water line. the green tubing is for air bubble, these air bubbles will cause the water to move in circulate movement thus the frys will not stay at the surface.

the hang on filter is a 2 in 1, that means it also have a uv steriliser.
