some question to ask. I purchase 5 acro 2 days ago

The acro just arrive to the store so cannot really see whether it is in good health or not. However the color look tremendeous to me.

could you guys advise me how to choose a proper acro?

however 1 of the acro is bleaching (turing white)

I just wonder that is this kind of stuff happen to you guys also?

Like you purchase some coral but somehow one or two corals isn't doing well

i checked all my parameter is fine.

so that i will know whether this is common.

so i should be able to budget the cost better next time.

Thank you so much

Since the colour look tremendous to you on the day you bought.. it should be allright.....

Generally when at a store looking for acros... you should look out for polyp extension, vibrant colour, no tissue flying off.. on a side note look for the piece that catches your eyes the moment you see the SPSes

Are you sure it is bleaching... Could you please post a photo.. Generally what bleaching is that the tissue of the corals turn transparent but there are still polyp extension... You mentioned turning white.. it could also be RTN or STN.. In this case the white part is dying...

Generally we try to choose the healthiest of SPS to avoid such things from happening to our tank... but sometimes smile.gif well all i can say is its a stroke of bad luck...

Could you perhaps share what your water parameters are like...

Please do not hesitate to contact me via my mobile(SMS) or PM...

Cheers mate!! and happy SPS keeping...

P.s : Read abit more about SPS ya..

that cant be the case as you should not be directing the powerhead directly to your sps.... it is more sue to your water condition not ready for SPS yet... again do read up more before buying...
