Montipora in distress?

Hi

Got a orange montipora (got from GO) 3 weeks ago... a few days ago discovered there are two brown patches near to the rim of the montipora (See circled).

What are the brown patches? Is it a type of disease or its a natural growing sympton?
I can see that my montipora is growing but should I remove the brown patches?

you have a powerhead blowing directly at the monti?

No bro... the Koralia 3 is blowing behind the montipora... but no brown patches seen there.

the flow might be too strong for the monti.. try shifting it to a less flow area.
