hi,got a huge squamosa clam, place in ontop of the tank with 2x250W reeflux wonder if the amt of light will kill it since its kinda strong, thanks.

Bro, there is no such thing as too much light for clams unlike our stick where sometimes they will bleach. (Of course, not 24hrs). The more light you offer to them, the better their health.
Sequence of light requirement
T.Crocea (Shallow water, very intense light requirement)
T.Maxima(found max est 15Meter) Strong Lighting
T.Squamosa (found max est 15Meter) Strong Lighting
T.Derasa (found max est 20Meter) Moderate Lighting
