I have a clown fish with a Isopod in it's gill, How can I get rid of it?
I used a metal pincer (for pucking hair, eye brows, etc) to remove one from my tang's fin
I put the fish in very very shallow water so that the isopod is out of water while the fish is part submerged. Make sure the fish is calm and still before you try to do anything.
Don't pull it straight off. I used the pincer to irritate the isopod and compress its body. After a few "squeezes" it relaxed its grip and I gently pulled it off the fish. As punishment i left it out to dry.......
Hope this helps you.

It was the hardest to catch the fish but I turned of all the lights and got him to the top of the tank where I netted him at the top, (much easier to the top no where to hide). As soon as I lifted him out of the water the isopod felt off.
The clown fish seems still to be a little frighten but hoplfully he will go good soon.
Thank you everyone for your help.
I will let you known how he goes over the next couple of days
Thank again
