Just place the biohome red in a net bag (those kind of net bag which we buy onion or garlic from Fairprice) and place them in the sump (first compartment).

Also, I wrap them the whole net bag with a filter wool.

I have an unused media reactor. Is it okay if I place the Biohome in it and the output connect to the other 2 reactor that I have that contain rowaphos and carbon?

pump--biohome reactor--rowaphos reactor--carbon reactor--sump.

What about those Eheim bio-ring thingy? Can I mix them in also as I have some spare. I am doing this as to lessen the use of live rock.

Gee, I suppose u can do that. I mean it will not do any harm, right? Just not sure how much more benefit you will get out of it. the way I see it: no harm but some good.... stand to be corrected though. smile.gif.
PS: pump speed matters. if too slow, may not be too helpful ....,

I was mulling over what pump to use as the phosban reactor that contain my rowaphos can't handle more than 300 lt/hr or else the media will be pushed into the carbon reactor. Should I treat this new reactor which contain biohome similar to the sulphur reactor ?

If you want to place the biohome in a reactor then strongly advise to cover the reactor with black paper to prevent any light as bacteria thrives very well in dark areas. smile.gif
