Honestly, after seeing a number of snr reefers decomming in this forum, it is rather quiet. Maybe it it time to bring some suggestion to bring "life" to the forum.

Yeah, its sad, but I can understand as it's still an expensive and time-intensive hobby which many at certain points of their lives are not able to cope...
Still the spirit thrives to live on... and yeah... if anyone has any good suggestions, I be happy to to review and work on them...

Think many moderators have gone for good......bro happy, etc. Maybe you need to get new passionate and good helpers to help. Had spoken to some snr reefers and they feel sad that absolute reef is so "still".
The sponsors are still active for some, maybe need more. Maybe offer discount to reefers in this forum.
Personally, will post more updates on farm visits if possible.

I think the basic problem is that reefers find that there are very few new posts per day in this forum. When compared to the other forum, it is really a very large difference.

Yup.. guilty as charged... Administrator has been involved on getting on with life outside reefing and after a hectic and tough year... things have somewhat changed and I am aware of that!
Perhaps if anyone have any good ideas, do forward them to me or post it up on this thread pls!
Thank You!

I joined this forum around the same time as the other forum and I will say the major differences between the two forums are as follows:
1) The forum sponsors in the other forum are more active compared to the sponsors here
2) There are many more members in the other forum who post pics of their setups and amongst them, many are actually newbies
3) There is a lot more discussion on equipment, additives, livestock etc
4) There are ard 10 super active members in the other forum who contribute ard 200+ replies daily on average and this draws other people to participate in the threads they are in
What can be done to attract more reefers to this forum could be the following:
1) Get more participation from your sponsors to publish their special promotions here
2) Get your moderators and senior members who have tanks to post their tank threads and share their experiences in maintaining their tanks
3) Conduct workshops on topics related to reef keeping
The main thing that should be done is to attract more participation from your existing members for a start.

I really enjoy reading the Tank of the Month. Maybe the admin can consider reviving that.

I'd try to look into that... just that it involves quite a bit of resources...

Hmmm, would it not be easier if you can just do a posting for the date and venue. Interested parties can then pm you for more info.
Just my 2¢... think it will be less co-ordinating work on your part.
Either way, kudos to you for saving our little home.
