I have a maxima clam which is stuck to a button mushroom. Can I cut the joining portion as I which to re-locate the clam? By doing so, won't I be injuring the clam? Need advise. Thanks.

You probably would... try wedging a small rock under the clam to irritate it, it might just let go of the rock.... else, use something to slowly scrap it off... that's probably the best way...

Most important is not to pull. If not, you can say bye bye to your clam.

Just removed one of my bigger clams last night... it was about 6 inches long and it was stucked to the bottom glass, irritated the fella by slowly tugging it for several minutes... in the end gave it a serious tug and it came off...
But I dun recommend this method for smaller clams...
