FIREdevil.gif FIREdevil.gif First it affected the Scolymia vitiensis, dead within a few hours , left only the skeleton. Then it struck my Cynarina also up the lorry, left skeleton. And that was last week. Did a 50% water change over night. This morning before I went out, the Favia was doing OK. But by the time I came back It now looks like the attached picture. Don't think it will make it through tonight. FIREdevil.gif FIREdevil.gif Anyone know what kind of diseaseis this. Any recommended preventive measure or cure. help-whip.gif help-whip.gif

i'm so sorry to hear that, haven seen or read about a disease like that...

if i were you, i would take that coral out immediately,
before it spread to the rest of the tank.
i wouldn't even think of reviving it.
the rest of your corals that are not affected yet, are more inportant!
by the way you describe it, its sounds really contagious.

and if i were you, i would experiment with soaking, the half
dead coral in coral dip, to see if those bugs fall off dead....

Had taken the coral out and gave it a fresh water dip. don't see any parasite falling off the coral. Just all whitish fluffy stuff, keeping it in another container. Got a friend who had the same experience, within one week all his LPS was destroy. Same fluffy white stuff.

Same thing halve of the skeleton is expose now. The meat just keep falling off. Attached is a month ago picture showing the coral recovering from bleaching when I bough it. Now mad.gif

I think no hope liao. FIREdevil.gif

Found two pest which died together with the coral. Not too sure if they cause the demise of the Favia. Does look a bit like Isopod. But it has a hard shell with snail like interior.
