My rocks are now slowly and surely being covered by Deep red velvet coat of something. Tried no lights for three days they start to peel off....and later start again......how to get rid of this velvet covering....pls help

Thought so was the culprit....thanks in confirming....any way have drain and wash the whole tank to start a new. The rocks are in running sea water...to be reused again....

Too late bro tank is now clean waiting to feed in bottles and bottles of seawater ....thanks for info and will keep in mind the next time i see those deep red &*^%$%^
